Welcome to the Village of St. Joseph!!!

I invite you to visit St. Joseph and see all that the Village has to offer as well as the strides we are making into the future. Whether you are looking for a great place to live or a place to spend the day shopping, ST. JOSEPH IS THE PLACE FOR YOU.

We have great local businesses. Whether you come with a shopping list or just to leisurely browse, St. Joseph has the shop for you. You can get everything you need right here in the Village.

St. Joseph is a GREAT place to live. The three main reasons that residents list for moving to St. Joseph are EDUCATION, LOCATION, AND SAFETY. St. Joseph has an EXCELLENT school system. The High School, Middle School and Grade School are consistently high scorers on the State achievement tests. St. Joseph is also close to larger communities, such as Champaign and Urbana. Interstate 74 is on the north edge of St. Joseph and Interstates 72 and 57 are 15 minutes away. There is a regional airport as well as national train service within 20 minutes of the Village. The Village is a very safe community with a low to non-existent crime rate.

The Village is full of activity. The local businesses are bustling. School is out for summer. Youth baseball and softball are in full swing. I encourage you to stop by the community Park. The fields are full most nights. You can watch a game, have a snack, and visit with friends, both old and new.

Many organizations are working on their plans for the Community Festival which will be held on August 12,13, & 14. The festival is a great time to relax with friends, see our local talent, enjoy the Legion's fish sandwiches along with the other local organizations food specialties, watch some 3 on 3, enjoy the rides and street dances and to participate in the parade Saturday afternoon.

The 2nd Annual St. Joseph 5k will be held on Saturday morning, August 8th. The link to the registration form can be found on this page.

If you have any questions about the Village or its opportunities, I encourage you to call the Village Office at 469-7371. We'll be glad to assist you in any way possible.

We look forward to seeing you soon and often!!!
